At 3 years and 8 months old, Garrett is riding a bike, no training wheels. Two weeks to the day, when GP picked up a Strider balance bike for Daddy off of Craigslist, it was green and not a scratch on it!

Mommy Days with GMAC and Grace
GMAC and Grace were off from Miss Toni's Fun Learning Center the first 3 days of the week. Mommy took off of work to be with them and she showed them a great time! We went swimming at Goo Goo's pool and had a big Mexican food dinner. Chick fil-a Pirates and Princess. Park in Round Rock.
Party and BDay Party
Mommy is going to a new camera class on Saturdays, so it is Daddy's day with GMAC and Grace. We ran some errands, then back home in time to nap when Mommy came back home. The highlight of the day was going to a party of an old friend, a musician who played our wedding. It was a Summer Solstice Party, which means that it was also Grace's 1/2 Birthday, she is exactly 2 1/2 years old. Also, 6 months until the end of the world, for those of you keeping up with the Mayan calendar. Anyhow, great pool party!!

GMAC Made Honorary Deputy Fire Chief of San Marcos, Texas by Mayor
GMAC was made an Honorary Deputy Fire Chief by Mayor Daniel Guerrero of San Marcos, TX. Mommy took GMAC and Grace to a Touch a Truck event in San Marcos on Friday to meet Melissa and Tate (Tater Tot). Despite Mommy's approval, GMAC had insisted that morning to dress in full fireman gear (boots, pants, shirt, jacket, helmet, and equipped with megaphone and walkie-talkie). When they got out of the car to walk up to the event, they were approached by local media cameramen and mayor for the photo opp. Photographs were snapped up with the Mayor as well as on the firetrucks (areal ladder truck, brush breaker, and pumper truck). So now it is official, Garrett Mikeal Anderson Comer is an Honorary Deputy Fire Chief of San Marcos, TX. Congratulations boy!
Steak Out and Big Boy Bed
We went up to the lake and grilled at the community Steak Out! It was a lot of fun. All the grills were red hot when we arrived with some tender rib eyes. All of the yummy sides and dessert were provided. Afterwards there were door prizes for the children, of which not only GMAC won, but Grace did as well! A new boys and girls drink cup and beach towels! They had a blast and fell asleep in the truck on the ride back home.
Author and friend, Jeanne Rutan Murray, gave and autographed her book Ride Like a Cowboy from the Learn And Discover How To… Series of books. GMAC and Grace look forward to many readings of this great book. Thank you Jeanne!
On Sunday, after church at OHUMC, and a short nap at home, we met EE and GP at Sam's Club and bought a new full size box frame and mattress, then went home and disassembled Grace's crib and converted it into it's final piece, a full size bed for GMAC. We switched beds and Grace got her a new bed, too. Daddy's old top bunk bed! They both loved their new beds and Grace even slept through the night in hers. This is a welcome relief for both Mommy and Daddy whom we often all sleep together in one bed when we put them down to sleep for the night.
Port A – Memorial Day Vacation
We all left for Port Aransas on Friday afternoon. The whole family packed up in Daddy truck and headed out for Memorial Day Weekend Vacation at the Coast with friends! GMAC and Grace quickly fell asleep and Daddy stopped at Smitty's for his traditional lunch of brisket, ribs, and sausage, in Lockhart. We took the long 'scenic' route that Daddy has enjoyed for these trips as a child and adult. We got to the ferry and traffic stopped a mile from the dock, but it only took less than a half hour to get onto the boat and cross by vehicle. We drove down the main drag, Cotter Avenue and saw our beautiful home that we found off of VRBO.com. A little blue 2 story, 4 bedroom house on piers.
