Nikki Sixx Chat

A few lucky fans got a chance to chat with Nikki Sixx of Mötley Crüe, Sixx A.M., and many other lives of infamous fame, through Best Buy Unboxed Chats on Friday July 6, 2012. I was one of those lucky few. I had a chance to ask one of the three questions:

The answers to this question spread around the world in the days following, in particular these sites: Blabbermouth, hennemusic, AntiMUSIC, and Loudwire, but not limited to these sites.

Here were the full text of the first question, which had been truncated due to a 500 character limite on the Best Buy site, and other questions. The last question is from my cousin:

  1. When can we expect to hear a new Motley Crue album of entirely of new material, as new new material has been released by the band since 2008’s, Saints of Los Angeles. KISS whom they are co-headlining this Summer’s tour with will be releasing the much anticipated “Monster” in October, the follow-up to 2009’s “Sonic Boom”. SOLA was such a great comeback album with all original members, it was common thinking that the band would be hitting their stride and recording and releasing more albums.
(side comment: Shouldn’t more recording be taking place with the ailing health of Mick Mars?)
  2. As both DJ Ashba, who is now the lead guitarist for Guns n Roses, and James Micheal have been instrumental in the success of both SIXX A.M. and SOLA are they going to collaborate on future Motley Crue and SIXX A.M. albums? Also, we can we look forward to another SIXX A.M. album?
  3. Are you ever freaked out, startled, or lose your ability to “perform” when you look down and see your tattoo of Mick Mars staring back at you?
  4. (Former Brides of Destruction guitarist, Tracii Guns, left his band L.A. Guns to join Brides of Destruction, and now has been touring with an alternate version of L.A. Guns, is there any future plans to work with him again on future projects as guitarist?)
  5. Why did you milk your fans with re-releasing the music catalogue as the Crucial Crüe remasters, only to then come out with 2 box sets offering a repackaging of the exact same material a short time after? Is that fan friendly, or a money grab?

We all have many more questions for Nikki Sixx, but these are the only ones that were put together for the chat.
